Rockefeller is a fingering weight shawl worked in two colors. It begins with garter stitch and stockinette stitch short row shaping following by picking up stitches for a larger field of stockinette, yarn over shaping and little contrasting garter strips. Stripes and slipped stitches decorate the border for a simple columnar look and lastly, garter stitch striped wingtips form the long scarf shape for draping, wrapping, and tying. I-cord edges are incorporated throughout the fabric for a finished clean look.Recommended Yarn: 2 colours of a light fingering weight / 3 plyRecommended Needles: 3.25mm/ US3Yardage: Colour A – 450yds / 411m Colour B – 505yds / 462mGauge: 28 sts and 52 rows = 4″ / 10cm in garter stitch Note that if your gauge is less than 28 sts or 52 rows, you may need a bit more yardage.
