Classic is a pure cashmere hand-knitting yarn. It can be used for a wide selection of projects ranging from simple accessories to more complicated sweaters and cardigans. It works well with all knitting and crochet stitches and lends itself well to texture.
Beautifully soft and sourced from the finest Hircus goats of the highlands of Inner Mongolia. Only the softest fibres from the inner coat are used which is combed at the beginning of the summer season.

Having become obsessed with the Sophie scarf and having knitted it in various yarns: Gepard Kumula cashmere, Camarose Host, Rico baby organic cotton, to see different results, I decided to try one of the yarns recommended on the pattern: Cardiff Cashmere Classic. I ordered a moss green (Niwa) and a dark pink (Sakura). First, the positive: the colours are wonderful, really vibrant. Now the negatives: for a cashmere, it is not very soft. The yarn itself I found really hard to knit (I am only an ambitious beginner). I kept splitting it in half and dropping stitches. I really struggled, more than with the other yarns I have used.
I finished two scarves but could not wait for the knitting to be over. As for the result, well, the Niwa green colour gave a good result, with high stitch definition. The Sakura was less soft, a bit rougher, and harder to knit. It could be the dye.
To conclude, I was going to give it 3 stars, but then a friend came and absolutely loved the Sakura scarf, mistakes and all, so I gave it to her.
I have decided to give the yarn 4 stars because of that! I think it is a yarn better suited to a more advanced, thorough knitter than me.
