Knit with Attitude
Yarn Kit – Synonym Scarf by George Cullen
The Synonym Scarf, was originally published in our book Knit with Attitude – a 10-year celebratory collection.
Designed by our own George A Cullen for Knit with attitude, the Synonym Scarf is an incredibly exciting knit! George says of the design:
This scarf combines the G-uld’s lighter No.4 and the heavier Alpaca 4ply. A long parallelogram shape that moves from diagonal stripes of garter stitch to a simple two colour lace.
It is a celebration of the combination of colour and the tactility of different fibres. I chose the name Synonym because my design contains two different fibres that are knit together. These two fibres are like two different words that have the same meaning. This can also be seen as a metaphor for the shop – multiple parts that all have attitude.
The Synonym Scarf Yarn Kit can be bought with or without the pattern, in addition you'll need 3.5mm / US 4 circular needles, and a darning needle for weaving in your ends.
