Dry Desert Camel - Amber is good for your health
Nomadnoos Dry Desert Camel yarn is sourced from the Gobi desert in Mongolia. Local nomads select the finest fibers which are then washed and carded by hand, before being handspun and handdyed by women in Mongolia and Nepal.
Dry Desert Camel is a truly luxurious light fingering weight yarn, made from the finest of camel fibres. It is smooth and silky to the touch, with a crisp stitch definition. Camel fibre supplies warmth without adding weight. The hair is famous for its thermostatic properties which can protect and insulate the animal from the extreme cold conditions as well as keeping it cool in the hot desert. The same qualities are transferred when making garments from camel yarn. Camel fibre weights 'absolutely nothing', you will get a whole lot of meterage out of each 50g hank. Hours and hours with pleasurable knitting time resulting in light and surprisingly warm favourites!
