When we started our regular virtuals mid-March a consistent theme was what to knit next, facing world wide lockdowns and collective fear, not exactly knowing what this was all about, as crafters at least the extra time at home gave promises of activity, and we all had ambitious ideas about completing one project after the other.

My poncho, a project started and a promise made 5 years ago as a swap of skills with a very very dear friend, had been hibernating for at least 4 of those 5 and was at the top of my to-do list. Throughout these last 9 months my poncho has been object for thorough discussions, it has been my love-to-hate project, and Susan, a regular member of our meet ups even gifted me a special tag to sew onto the poncho when completed. The tag says 'Made with #%&!?*"

Tonight we'll be cheering the poncho, I think it deserves a proper toast, a 5 year old promise to be kept and a warm and happy friend wrapped in a humongous Alpaca hug. It is done!

The details are the same as always, we are on from 7pm to 8.30pm UK time, you'll find the link to join at the bottom of this post, and you can drop in at any point. If you are joining us for the first time, read more about Zoom and how it works in the first post we did about the virtual knit nights right here.

Until tonight my friends ...
