Annette Bugansky for Knit with attitude

The Yarn Ball Yarn Bowl

I'm delighted and pretty proud to finally reveal the result of an amazing collaboration between Knit with attitude and renowned ceramicist Annette Bugansky. Sharing a fascination for the intersection between soft and hard, trying to capture the softness of yarn with the use of crisp porcelain, this yarn bowl has been more than a year in the making before reaching it's final shape.

The yarn bowl splits on the middle in two parts, one bottom bowl to contain your most precious ball of yarn, and the lid, complete with a hole from which to pull the yarn, creating a yin and yang between the yarn and ceramic. A small number of yarn bowls have now been produced and are ready in time for the holidays. They make a perfect gift for both knitters and non-knitters alike.

Due to it's exclusive nature, the yarn bowl will not be listed in the web shop, further details on reservations, mail orders and price are available upon request, please contact us to learn more. To view the other Annette Bugansky pieces available through
Knit with attitude, have a look here.

All of Annette's individual pieces are different from each other, all distinctive in their tactile textures and fine details. In an attempt to communicate the time, skill and care that lies behind the hand made process of each single bowl, we've made this little short film. Please enjoy - the making of the Yarn Ball Yarn Bowl.
